Farewell Speech delivered by the School Captain 2025-’26
Respected Principal Ma’am, teachers, staff, and my dear friends,

There’s a beautiful saying:
If you chase butterflies, they fly away.
But if you build a garden, the butterflies will come.

Today feels like that.
For years, we were busy building our gardens here—learning, growing, failing, and becoming—without realizing that one day, it would be time to leave.

I don’t stand here just to give a speech.
I stand here holding a goodbye that has been growing quietly for years.

This school didn’t just educate us—it raised us.
From small children with heavy bags to young adults carrying even heavier dreams, it shaped our minds, our courage, and our hearts.

Last year, when I was chosen as School Captain, the happiness lasted about fifteen seconds.
And then I learned something important—
achievements give us moments of joy, but responsibility, gratitude, and character are what truly last.

Our journey here was written in chalk—classrooms, laughter, mistakes, friendships, and lessons far beyond textbooks.
And that is because our teachers didn’t just teach us subjects; they shaped the people we are becoming.

Our pre primary and primary teachers are the roots from which we continue to grow. And look at us now, proud 10th standard secondary students

Somewhere between notebooks and morning assemblies, they planted values inside us that will last a lifetime. From Anjana teacher, we learned how to be fair—not just in exams, but in life, to judge situations with honesty and balance. Bajana teacher taught us how to stand tall, how to fight our fears with courage even when our hands trembled.

Agnes teacher showed us the power of clear words and confident voices, teaching us that being heard matters. Rija teacher taught us to think smart, to move through life with awareness and wisdom. Blessy teacher’s kindness wrapped around us like a warm shield, reminding us that compassion is never weakness. Sharon teacher proved that learning doesn’t always have to be heavy—it can be full of laughter, light, and joy.

JD Sir’s friendly presence made us feel seen, like our thoughts mattered. Amita teacher’s constant support became our quiet strength, pushing us forward when we doubted ourselves. Sindhu teacher taught us discipline and firmness, the kind that prepares you for the real world. Maher teacher’s loving nature made school feel less like a building and more like a second home.

Heena teacher’s sweetness and Laxmi teacher’s boldness showed us that strength comes in many forms. Dina teacher though strict but the most loving teacher ever. Rashmi teacher taught us clarity—not just in answers, but in thinking. Paras teacher opened doors to creativity we didn’t even know we had. Aman Sir inspired us to dream beyond limits, to believe that our future could be bigger than our fears.
Shweta and Manali teachers, with their friendly approach, made learning feel safe and open. Karate sir you taught us not just how to fight, but how to rise every time we fall. Devyani and Bismi teachers reminded us again and again to never give up, even when things felt impossible. Saloni teacher brought drama, emotion, and expression into our lives, while Gauri teacher helped us see the world through colors, art, and imagination. Anita teacher showed us how boldness and softness can exist together—strength with empathy. Jennifer mam in silence and books, you taught us how to dream. Anita madam stood with us firmly even during covid pendemic

Jayashree mam—our guide, our backbone, our leader. You didn’t just lead us; you believed in us. With wisdom, vision, and a heart full of care, you showed us what true leadership looks like. Annie mam you didnt just shape our schools, you shaped our lives.

These classrooms will one day be empty without us,the strangers we met would become memories ,but the values you gave us will walk with us forever. Long after uniforms are folded away and bells stop ringing, a part of you will live inside us—in the way we think, the way we speak, and the way we become better humans.

And honestly… that’s the kind of teaching that never fades.

And then there were our classmates—such a simple word, yet filled with a thousand memories. They were never just people we studied with; they were chapters of our lives.
As we step into the world, we will make mistakes. We will fall, learn, and try again. That doesn’t make us weak—it makes us human. What matters is growth, accountability, and kindness.
And this school taught us something timeless:
“Never be so kind that you forget to be clever,
and never be so clever that you forget to be kind.”

One day, years from now,
we will remember this moment without warning.
And our hearts will ache—
because some goodbyes never stop hurting.

Today, we aren’t just leaving a campus.
We’re leaving a version of ourselves we can never return to—the bell, the uniforms, the certainty.
So let us live in a way that proves we were taught well.
Let us build beautiful gardens—patiently and honestly.
Because if you listen closely,
this isn’t the sound of students leaving a school—
it’s the sound of childhood closing its door behind us…forever.
Thank you.
